Job Summary

ElectHER is seeking a skilled and strategic Research/Strategy Analyst to work directly with the CEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough research, supporting the development of strategic plans, and providing insights to inform the organization's initiatives.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on gender and development issues, micro and macro-economic issues, and the broader development eco-system. 
  • Analyse data and compile comprehensive reports to support strategic decision-making by the CEO and the leadership team.
  • Stay informed about global and regional trends in gender policy, democracy and public governance, the economy, peace, and security. 
  • Support the preparation of meetings, conferences, and public events as required, through information gathering, speaking point and presentation development, and content planning.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives aligned with ElectHER’s mission and goals.
  • Identify opportunities for organisational growth and innovation, providing strategic recommendations to the CEO.
  • Support the CEO in setting organisational priorities and objectives, ensuring alignment with the overall vision.
  • Support the development of policy briefs, position papers, and advocacy materials. 
  • Support monitoring and evaluation of the impact of policies and legislative changes on gender equality across all ElectHER's components.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and briefs for the CEO on research findings, strategic plans, and policy developments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of research activities, strategic initiatives, and advocacy efforts.
  • Assist in planning and executing research projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Coordinate with team members and external partners to facilitate collaborative efforts and maximize impact.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Gender Studies, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus
  • Proven experience in research, strategy development, or a related role. Experience in consulting preferred 



Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of gender and development issues, policy development, and legislative advocacy. 
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear, concise findings.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated passion for gender equality and women’s empowerment.
  • Proficiency in using research tools, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
