Rust Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance APIs using Rust (Axum) and Python (Django).
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
• Utilize relational databases like PostgreSQL to design schemas, create tables, and optimize database queries.
• Implement and manage caching mechanisms using Redis to enhance system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design system architecture, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Leverage generative AI tools, like ChatGPT, to accelerate development while being mindful of their limitations.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the stack, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain version control and manage collaborative development workflows using Git.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with Prompt Engineering (Knows how to use ChatGPT or other GEN AI tools to accelerate themselves while knowing its limitations/pitfalls)*
• At least 2+ years of relevant experience with Rust
• Industry experience and knowledge of code quality, formatting, and best practices of software development*
• You have three or more years of experience building APIs.
• You are experienced with Git, Rust(Axum) and Python(Django) technologies.
• Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) to design schemas, create tables, and optimize queries.
• Have an extensive background in Redis and caching expertise.
• You have an interest in how systems are built, whether machines or software.
