Job Summary

The Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying mid-level to high level business prospects, business development, mapping out strategies to drive business growth and expansion in line with the objectives of the organization.

  • Minimum Qualification : HND
  • Experience Level : Entry level

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new clients, open new business relationships with them, and upgrade relationships with clients
  • Research and compile a list of all organizations that form BU Power’s target customers within the geographical zone
  • Identify and document mid-level target markets, while highlighting prospective business opportunities in those markets
  • Present a portfolio of prospective clients at the beginning and end of every business cycle
  • Project planning, execution, and management with minimal supervisor
  • Adept in Business Intelligence and project management tools such as Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint Presentation, etc.
  • Provide honest feedback on customers’ perception of the company’s service
  • Prepare, analyze, and update intelligence reports on competition, market trends, pricing
  • Establishing and maintaining partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders within our target market                                      
  • Continuous learning and having proactive research habits while staying updated on industry trends to effectively target mid-level Clientele


Requirements:

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Must be analytical and have a penchant for analyzing the industry
  • Prior experience in diesel generator sales or with the energy industry is a plus but not required
  • Strong facilitation skills, capable of organizing and spearheading meetings with mid-level project stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn
