Job Title: Field Sales Representative
Job Summary:
The Field Sales Representative is responsible for driving African Things' wholesale sales efforts by establishing and nurturing relationships with potential wholesale clients, including businesses, organizations, and bulk buyers. This role requires active participation in trade shows, fairs, and industry conferences to promote the company’s products and increase brand visibility. The Field Sales Representative will be a key player in generating leads, closing sales, and ensuring consistent growth in African Things’ wholesale business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Wholesale Client Acquisition:
- Identify and pursue potential wholesale clients, including businesses, organizations, and corporate entities.
- Conduct regular in-person meetings with prospective clients to introduce African Things' product offerings, understand their needs, and tailor solutions to meet their requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive long-term partnerships and repeat business.
2. Sales Promotion and Relationship Building:
- Present African Things’ products at trade shows, and conferences to potential wholesale buyers.
- Promote the company's unique selling points and advantages to potential clients, with a focus on generating leads and converting them into sales.
- Planning and organizing in store events at African Things store at Banex mall, Oniru, Lekki.
- Maintain regular communication with wholesale clients to ensure their needs are met, provide product updates, and address any concerns.
3. Event and Trade Show Coordination:
- Plan and execute African Things’ presence at various events.
- Ensure all logistics, including booth setup, marketing materials, and product displays, are properly managed to maximize the company’s visibility and impact.
- Actively participate in trade shows, networking with potential buyers, and promoting the brand.
4. Wholesale Sales Strategy:
- Work closely with the Company Management team to develop and implement effective sales strategies aimed at increasing bulk sales and expanding African Things' client base.
- Provide insights and feedback from the field to inform marketing and sales strategies.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets by consistently identifying new sales opportunities and closing deals.
5. Customer Success and Account Management:
- Collaborate with the Sales and Production team to ensure post-sale satisfaction for wholesale clients.
- Assist clients with reordering, product customization, and ongoing account management to ensure long-term relationships and client retention.
6. Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide regular sales reports and client updates to the Company Management, ensuring transparency and alignment with company sales goals.
- Track and analyze performance metrics, including lead conversion rates and sales volumes, to continually improve sales performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in field sales, particularly in wholesale or B2B environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Experience in event participation, such as trade shows and industry fairs, is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
- Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and events.
