Job Summary

We are seeking a Sales engineer in our Abuja and Lagos offices. This position will be responsible for the engineering of electrical systems for private, public infrastructure and facilities with emphasis on the designing of energy storage systems solutions.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and developing technical presentations to explain the company’s products or services to customers
  • Serve as the technical sales lead throughout the pre-sales cycle, including owning proofs-of-value (POV) results and driving their success, co-leading customer relationships with market account executives, and giving technical demos
  • Discuss equipment needs and system requirements with customers and engineers to effectively address customer questions
  • Generate high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveries
  • Research, develop, and modify products to meet customers’ technical requirements and needs
  • Support sales executive with solution selling into prospect account base
  • Partner with a sales executive to plan, prepare, and execute strategic deals in complex cycles
  • Help customers with problems with installed products and recommend improved or upgraded materials and machinery.
  • Solicit and log client feedback and evaluate the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers. 

 



Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a sales engineer
  • Must be versed in operations and maintenance of power and solar systems
  • Solid background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in engineering and software development.
  • Must understand basic designs and implementation of power systems
  • Strong data analysis skills, and the ability to identify trends, outliers, correlations and reconciliation needs across large data sets.
  • 2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering industry in aspect of sales of technical functioning.
  • Proficient in designs and calculation software, other applicable codes related to electrical engineering.
  • Intellectually curious, self-starter and fast learner that can understand complex technical issues
  • Obsessive about delivering results, winning and over-achieving
  • Strong analytical and organization skills with attention to detail
  • BSc or BEng Degree or Equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer science or equivalent (minimum of 2.1)
  • Masters’ Degree is an added advantage
  • COREN or similar certification is an added advantage
  • One or more years of AutoCAD education, training, or related experience
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
