Job Title: Sectional Head (Mines), Electrical Department

Job Objective
Lead and oversee the electrical maintainance operations of the within the mines to enhance productivity and ensure equipment reliability.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Supervise a team of technicians and electricians, providing guidance and support.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of workshop activities and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of goals and efficient utilization of resources.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop to enhance quality and performance.
Train and develop staff to enhance their skills and competencies in electrical maintenance.
Ensure effective budgeting and cost control in workshop operations.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Professional certifications in electrical maintenance will be an advantage.
Work Experience:
Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.
Skills and Competencies:
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in the use of maintenance management software.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
