Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company's core business and vendor partnerships.
- Build and nurture relationships with vendor sales teams to leverage their resources effectively.
- Identify new business opportunities, particularly in government and enterprise markets.
- Lead the sales cycle, including lead generation, partner collaboration, and contract negotiations.
- Track sales performance and optimize processes for scalability and efficiency.
- Train and mentor a small internal sales team to enhance productivity.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in B2B sales, IT solutions sales, or government contracting.
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement and contract vehicles (e.g., TX DIR, OMNIA).
- Proven track record of working with vendors and distributors to drive sales.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sales opportunities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in IT software and hardware sales.
- Knowledge of NAICS/NIGP codes and federal/state procurement regulations.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting.
