Job Description/Requirements

Location for Sales Merchandiser:

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff to ensure effective collaboration and execution of merchandising plans. Implement merchandising strategies and guidelines provided by the company to maximize product visibility and sales.
  • Ensure proper placement, positioning, and presentation of products in retail stores, including shelf displays, point-of-sale materials, and promotional materials.
  • Regularly assess product availability,stock levels, and merchandising compliance.
  • Monitorsales performance, inventory levels, and customer feedback, providing regular reports and insights to the management team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product visibility and increase sales through creative merchandising displays and promotions.
  • Educate customers on product features, benefits, and selling points to enhance product knowledge and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to provide feedback on customer preferences, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Monitor and analyze market and industry trends, recommending adjustments to merchandising strategies as necessary.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and product launches to support sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Any additionalroles may be developed for the growth and development of Koolboks.


Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.

• A degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is often preferred but not always mandatory.

• Previous experience in sales, retail, or merchandising is often required (1-2 years).

• Experience working with brands, especially in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries, is a plus.

• Strong understanding of the products being sold and the ability to communicate their benefits to customers.

• Knowledge of competitors’ products to position the company’s products effectively.

• Ability to drive sales by effectively arranging product displays and promotions.

• A keen eye for detail in creating appealing product displays that attract customer attention and drive sales.

• Understanding of how product placement affects sales and customer purchasing behavior.

• Organizational skills to manage inventory levels, keep track of stock, and ensure product availability

• Ability to meet deadlines for promotional campaigns and store visits.

• Ability to stand for long periods and move products for displays and stocking.

• Capability to lift and arrange products for shelving, often requiring physical strength.

• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is an advantage.
