Job Summary

As a Solar Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business and driving sales of solar energy systems to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. You will work closely with prospective clients to understand their energy needs, present tailored solar solutions, and guide them through the purchasing process.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Sales Generation and Lead Development

  • Prospect New Clients: Identify and generate leads solar projects through networking, cold calling, direct outreach, and referrals.
  • Qualify Leads: Conduct in-depth consultations with potential customers to assess their energy needs, financial goals, and solar system requirements.
  • Present Solutions: Create and deliver personalized solar proposals and presentations, explaining the benefits of solar energy, potential savings, and system specifications.
  • Close Sales: Guide customers through the sales process, including negotiating pricing, and addressing objections to secure sales and achieve sales targets.


Client Relationship Management

  • Consultative Selling: Act as a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for educating clients on solar products and energy efficiency to ensure the best solution is chosen for their specific needs.
  • Ongoing Communication: Provide timely updates and follow-ups to customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
  • Customer Retention: Foster long-term relationships with customers, offering post-installation support, product education, and any future solar upgrades or services.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of National Diploma is required.
  • At least 1-2 years of sales experience (preferably in solar, renewable energy, or a related industry).
  • Proven success in B2B or B2C sales, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers in a simple, understandable way.
  • Consultative Selling: Ability to build trust and rapport with clients, listen actively to their needs, and provide tailored solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions to meet customer needs and overcome objections.
  • Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close sales while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple leads and projects simultaneously, while prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfort with using sales tools and other digital platforms to manage leads, track sales, and communicate with clients.
