Job Summary

The sales team lead is responsible for guiding and managing a team of sales responsibility and managing a team of sales representatives to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will foster a collaborative environment, analyze sales performance data and implement best practices to enhance team effectiveness.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a sales team to meet or exceed sales targets and performance goals.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and offer coaching to improve skills and productivity.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings to track progress, share updates, and motivate the team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.
  • Assist team members in closing deals and handling difficult client situations when necessary.
  • Ensure proper onboarding and training for new sales team members.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with promotional campaigns and product launches.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities, performance metrics, and forecasts to senior management.
  • Ensure that the team adheres to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.



Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Minimum of a BSc. or HND degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building client relationships and leading a team.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Problem-solving skills to resolve team and client issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track performance and manage customer relationships.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
