Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of farms public spaces, and facilities to ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and standards.
- Enforce laws, regulations, and policies related to sanitation, hygiene, and public health.
- Oversee waste collection, transportation, and disposal to ensure proper handling and minimize environmental impact.
- Ensure public spaces, markets, and facilities maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Educate the public on proper sanitation practices, hygiene, and waste management through workshops, and programs.
- Work with other departments, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to sanitation and public health.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on sanitation inspections, enforcement actions, and public education initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Environmental Health Specialist (CEHS) or Certified Sanitarian (CS) is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations, public health principles, and environmental health concepts.
