Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop original story concepts and script ideas based on project briefs or personal inspiration.
- Write and revise scripts, incorporating feedback from producers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the creative team to ensure scripts align with the project's overall vision.
- Research relevant topics, settings, and characters to ensure authenticity in writing.
- Adapt existing material (e.g., books, articles, true stories) into script format when required.
- Craft engaging dialogue that advances the story and reveals character depth.
- Structure narratives effectively, maintaining proper pacing and plot development.
- Participate in script readings and provide input during the production process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, storytelling techniques, and audience preferences.
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in scriptwriting for film, television, or digital media.
- Minimum of a BSc./HND in English, Creative Writing, Film Studies, or a related field.
- Proven ability to develop original story concepts and write compelling, well-structured scripts.
- Strong understanding of narrative structure, character development, and pacing in scripts.
- Excellent command of language, with the ability to craft engaging and authentic dialogue.
- Ability to collaborate with creative teams, including directors, producers, and other writers.
- Experience adapting various materials (e.g., books, articles, or true stories) into script format.
- Proficiency in using scriptwriting software such as Final Draft, Celtx, or similar tools.
- Strong research skills to ensure the accuracy of settings, topics, and character portrayals.
- Ability to receive and incorporate feedback constructively into script revisions.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, storytelling techniques, and audience preferences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity to overcome script-related challenges.
