Security Officer

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol hotel premises, including guest floors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, to prevent theft, vandalism, and any illegal activities.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations such as fire alarms, medical emergencies, disturbances, and evacuations.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and conduct regular security checks.
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas of the hotel.
• Assist guests and staff with security-related inquiries and provide necessary guidance.
• Collaborate with hotel management and law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Write detailed reports of incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards and report maintenance issues.
• Support the enforcement of hotel policies and regulations.
• Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor while interacting with guests and staff.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security or law enforcement is a plus.
• Proven experience as a security officer, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of security protocols, emergency procedures, and access control systems.
• Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally.
• Physical fitness to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills for report writing and surveillance monitoring.
• Valid security certification or license, if required by local regulations.

Working Conditions:

• May require working nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Requires standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.
• Occasional exposure to challenging situations that require quick and effective responses.
