The gallery represents emerging and established artists from Africa and the diaspora, promoting art appreciation and engagement globally. Rele actively participates in key art events and fairs to showcase African art on an international platform.
Role Description
Financial Reporting:
● Record the organisation’s business transactions and post daily worksheets to the
general ledger.
● Prepare, review, and consolidate financial statements for operations in Lagos,
LA, and London.
● Ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and
local regulations in each location.
Budgeting and Forecasting
● Develop and manage annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for all locations.
● Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance.
Tax Compliance
● Oversee tax planning and ensure timely filing of tax returns.
● Liaise with external tax consultants and auditors in each location.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
● Manage global accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely
payments and collections.
● Implement effective credit control measures.
Cash Flow Management
● Monitor and optimize cash flow across all locations.
● Management of petty cash.
● Prepare regular cash flow forecasts and reports.
Audit and Internal Controls
● Coordinate global audits and ensure the implementation of recommendations.
● Develop and enforce internal control systems to safeguard the gallery’s assets
and prevent fraud.
Systems and Processes
● Implement and maintain accounting systems that integrate global operations.
● Train other team members on financial procedures and systems.
Others
● Collaborate with gallery managers and teams across Lagos, Los Angeles, and
London to provide financial insights and support.
● Manage global accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely
payments and collections.
● Contribute to strategic decision-making with financial analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A master’s degree in accounting will be an added advantage.
- Professional finance qualification (ICAN, ACCA)
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a finance-related role.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
