Role Summary:

As a Senior Associate in accounting and finance at ETAP, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting procedures, and contributing to the financial health of the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass various financial tasks, including reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support strategic decision-making.

1. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Develop and manage budgets, including forecasting future financial performance.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.

1. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements specific to the insurance and insurtech industry.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and prepare necessary filings and documentation.

1. Revenue and Expense Management:

• Oversee billing, collections, and expense management processes.
• Implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency.

1. Tax Planning and Compliance:

• Manage tax planning and compliance, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations affecting the insurtech industry.

1. Internal Controls and Audits:

• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits.

1. Cash Flow Management:

• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company can meet its financial obligations.
• Develop strategies for optimizing cash flow and liquidity.

1. Investment and Funding: 

• Assist in managing investment activities and evaluating funding options.
• Prepare financial models and projections to support fundraising efforts and investor relations.

1. Financial Systems and Technology:

• Implement and maintain accounting software and financial management systems.
• Leverage technology to automate financial processes and improve accuracy and efficiency.

1. Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with other departments, such as product development, marketing, and operations, to align financial goals with business objectives.
• Communicate financial performance and strategies to stakeholders, including executives, investors, and board members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
