Job Summary

As our Copywriter, you’ll be responsible for writing, editing, and managing all written communications for the brand. You’ll work closely with the marketing, creative, and product teams to ensure that every piece of content is on-brand, persuasive, and aligned with our mission. Your words will help shape how we engage with customers, build trust with investors, and tell our brand’s story across every channel.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Strategy:

  • Social Media Copy: Write engaging, on-brand social media posts and captions that build community, spark conversations and encourage engagement. You’ll shape the tone of our social media presence, ensuring it’s relatable but with a distinct flair.
  • Script Writing: Develop scripts for videos (product videos, brand stories, educational content), ensuring the messaging is consistent with the brand's voice and values. Your scripts will be clear, compelling, and fit the video format perfectly.
  • Product Descriptions: Write concise and persuasive product descriptions that showcase features, benefits, and usage scenarios, helping customers make purchasing decisions.
  • Web Copy: Create engaging and informative copy for website sections (e.g., homepage, product pages, landing pages), ensuring everything speaks to the brand’s identity and provides a seamless customer experience.
  • Email Campaigns & Newsletters: Write engaging email content that keeps our customers informed and excited. This includes product launches, promotions, and personalized communication to deepen customer relationships.
  • Product Packaging Copy: Develop unique and meaningful content for product packaging that reflects the brand’s essence and elevates the customer experience.


Investor & Business Communications:

  • Investor Communications: Write clear, compelling content for potential investors, including pitch decks, funding proposals, and other strategic documents. You’ll be able to adapt your writing to address both creative and professional audiences.
  • Grant Application Process: Identify grant opportunities that align with the brand’s goals and values. Lead the writing and submission process for grant applications, ensuring all documentation is compelling, professional, and tailored to meet the specific requirements of each opportunity.
  • Campaign & Strategic Documents: Develop content for internal strategy documents, brand guidelines, and campaign briefs that help ensure alignment across the business.


Brand Voice & Data-Driven Content Strategy:

  • Lead Brand Tone & Voice: You’ll be responsible for leading and evolving the tone of the brand across all written materials. You will ensure consistency while knowing when to shift tone to meet the needs of different audiences – from casual customers to potential investors.
  • Use Data to Inform Writing: Leverage data reporting systems, analytics, and campaign performance metrics to refine and optimize content strategies. You'll track how your content performs and adjust your writing style or strategy to improve engagement, conversion rates, and customer retention.
  • Campaign Performance Optimization: Regularly analyze data from email campaigns, social media posts, and website traffic to inform your content decisions. Use insights from A/B tests, customer feedback, and KPIs to refine messaging and maximize impact.


Creative Storytelling:

  • Fictional Stories: Create fictional stories that reflect the brand's core values and resonate with our audience on a deeper emotional level.
  • Brand Storytelling: Develop long-form and short-form content that strengthens our brand narrative and builds stronger connections with customers.


General Writing Support:

  • Ad-Hoc Content: Be the go-to person for any other writing needs that arise across the brand, including catalog copy, marketing materials, internal memos, and other business-related content.
  • Proofreading & Editing: Ensure that all written content is polished, on-brand, and error- free. You’ll proofread and edit your work and the work of others to maintain high standards across the board.


Requirements:

  • Proven Writing Experience: You have a strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to write across different formats (social media, email, web, product descriptions, scripts, etc.). 3-5 years experience in the fashion or creative industries is a big plus.
  • Investor Communication: You’re capable of writing clear, concise, and persuasive content aimed at potential investors. Whether it’s an email, pitch deck, or proposal, you know how to write with professionalism and impact.
  • Customer Engagement: You understand how to write in a voice that resonates with our community, while also appealing to potential investors. You can shift tone and style depending on the audience – from conversational and relatable to professional and authoritative.
  • SEO Knowledge: You know how to write optimized content that increases search visibility and attracts organic traffic, but you never sacrifice voice or engagement for optimization.
  • Collaboration Skills: You work well with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and product teams. You know how to take feedback and integrate it into your writing to create a cohesive brand experience.
  • Creative & Strategic Thinker: You can balance creativity with strategic thinking. You understand how content ties into larger business goals and can craft content that aligns with those objectives.
  • Strong Editing Skills: You have a keen eye for detail and can proofread your own work, ensuring it’s polished and error-free before publication.
  • Adaptability & Time Management: You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at once, and meeting deadlines without compromising quality.


Additional Skills:

  • Experience in Scriptwriting for video content is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo).
  • Ability to write business documents, such as pitch decks or strategic reports.
