Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Senior Officer with 7-10 years of proven success in business development or sales, particularly within professional services or training sectors. This senior role is central to expanding RESILIGENT’s presence in Nigeria, growing our client portfolio, and maintaining robust
client relationships. You will work closely with the Country Head and Managing Partner to identify strategic business opportunities, manage client engagements, and ensure excellence in delivering RESILIGENT’s leadership and organisational development solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities by establishing strong relationships with potential clients across various sectors.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and pitch tailored solutions that address client needs and drive value.
- Manage assigned projects and initiatives from the Country Head, ensuring successful and timely execution.
- Achieve team sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Attend and represent RESILIGENT at industry events and conferences, actively networking, promoting services, and closing leads.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and strategic opportunities for RESILIGENT’s services.
Client Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring outstanding client satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors.
- Oversee the sales pipeline and CRM database, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare and deliver customised proposals and presentations aligned with client needs.
- Lead negotiations and close sales to meet revenue targets.
- Gather and analyse client feedback and engagement metrics, providing insights to improve service offerings.
Requirements
Education:
- A relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
Experience:
• 7-10 years in business development, sales, or a similar field, preferably within professional services or training industries.
Skills:
• Strong relationship-building skills and proven client management abilities.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing business strategies.
• Confident and skilled in holding a room, with the ability to engage senior leaders effectively.
• Exceptional proposal writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with CRM tools and data analysis.
• A solid understanding of AI applications in professional development is an advantage.
