Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team, bringing expertise in frontend and backend development technologies, microservices architecture, cloud deployments, and integrations with large language models (LLMs) and AI models. The ideal candidate should be proficient in PHP, Next.js, React.js, express, Laravel, and swift, with a thorough understanding of scalable backend systems, cloud-native practices, and cutting-edge AI applications. You’ll work on developing high-performance applications that leverage microservices, cloud infrastructure, and real-time communication to deliver a seamless user experience.

Required Skills and Experience

Frontend:

• Next.js and React.js: Strong experience in building responsive and high-quality frontend components.

• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) for dynamic client-side development.

Backend:

• Laravel, Express.js, and PHP: Proficient in building secure, scalable APIs and backend services.

• Experience with essential PHP modules (e.g., cURL, mbstring, OpenSSL, PDO, JSON) for efficient and secure backend functionality.

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and modular API design.

• Cloud & CI/CD:

• Knowledge of AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for deploying and scaling cloud-native applications.

• Good to have knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes for containerized microservice deployment and management.

• Good to have Experience with CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and versioning.

• AI Integration:

• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), such as OpenAI or Google AI, and incorporating AI-driven functionalities into applications.

• Third-party Integrations:

• Payment Gateways: Familiarity with Paystack and Nomba.

• Firebase: Proficient in setting up real-time notifications.

• WebSockets: Ability to implement real-time features using WebSockets.

• Google Maps API: Experience integrating Google Maps for location-based features.

• SMTP: Experience configuring email services.

• General Requirements:

• Solid understanding of modern development practices, including version control with Git, cloud deployment strategies, and microservices-based design principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in full-stack development, with experience in microservices and cloud deployments.

• Strong experience in Next.js, Laravel, React.js, PHP, Express.js, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Demonstrated experience with LLM/AI integrations, PHP modules, Firebase, Google Maps API, and payment gateways.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint planning.

• Understanding of in-app storage optimization for large data handling.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team.
