Senior Litigation Counsel

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all legal operations in the litigation department.
• Represent clients in complex litigation cases with minimal or no supervision.
• Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, court processes, letters, and petitions, etc.
• Provide legal opinions, solutions, and regulatory compliance advice.
• Supervise junior associates and ensure quality delivery of legal services.
• Meet up with crucial deadlines, display creativity/sharpness, and work under pressure without supervision
• Organize and provide regular reports on the status of cases.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with First Class or Second Class Upper.
• Called to the Nigerian Bar with a minimum of Second Class Lower.
• Minimum of 3-6 years post-call experience in litigation.
• Exceptional litigation, legal drafting, and analytical skills (This will be tested).
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities (This will be tested)
• A Master's Degree in Law is an added advantage.
