Founded in 1997, LEDAP has grown to 1700 members across Nigeria and has offices in Abuja, Yola, and Port Harcourt, with the national office in Lagos. The organization is recognized with observer status by the Africa Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Project Officer at Legal Defence and Assistance Project in Abuja. The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects related to human rights, legal advocacy, and good governance. Tasks include project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as reporting on project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Project management, planning, and implementation skills
- Legal research and advocacy experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Report writing and documentation abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Knowledge of human rights, rule of law, and governance issues
- Relevant degree in Law, Human Rights, International Relations, or related field
