Job Summary
The Electrical Rewinder at Dangote Cement Plc is responsible for the repair and maintenance of electric motors, transformers, and generators by rewinding electrical coils. This role ensures that machinery operates efficiently and effectively across all company operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassemble and repair electric motors, generators, and transformers while adhering to safety standards and procedures
- Rewind electrical coils, ensuring that all components are properly insulated and secured
- Test and inspect repaired equipment to ensure functionality and performance
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections
- Collaborate with maintenance team members to troubleshoot electrical issues and optimize machine performance
- Assist in the development of maintenance plans for electrical equipment
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standards during work processes
Requirements
- Minimum of OND in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in electrical rewinding or maintenance
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, machines, and tools
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in electrical maintenance
