Job Summary

The SEO Expert will be responsible for managing all search engine optimisation activities, including content strategy, link building, and keyword strategy, to increase rankings on major search networks. You will work closely with our marketing and content teams to create high-performing SEO campaigns that align with the company’s goals

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute SEO Strategies: Formulate long-term SEO strategies for organic search growth, and align them with the overall digital marketing plan.
  • Technical SEO Audits: Perform in-depth technical SEO audits to identify issues and implement best practices to improve website performance and crawlability.
  • Keyword Research & Analysis: Conduct detailed keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for organic traffic growth and create optimised content plans.
  • On-page Optimisation: Optimise website content, meta descriptions, headers, tags, and images to ensure search engines can easily crawl, index, and rank pages.
  • Off-page SEO & Link Building: Build and maintain a high-quality backlink profile using ethical and effective link-building strategies.
  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with the content team to create SEO-optimised content that is both engaging and aligned with target keywords and search intent.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track, analyse, and report on SEO performance metrics, including organic traffic, ranking positions, click-through rates, and conversions. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep up to date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, tools, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement in rankings and website performance.
  • Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular competitor analysis to identify gaps, new opportunities, and areas where the company can gain a competitive advantage in search rankings.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with web developers, designers, and content creators to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented across the company’s digital assets.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: 3-5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with a successful track record of delivering organic search growth.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as it relates to SEO.
  • Tools & Platforms: Proficient in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, or similar platforms.
  • Keyword Research: Strong ability to conduct thorough keyword research and implement keyword strategies across various platforms.
  • Analytical Skills: Expertise in analyzing and interpreting data to measure SEO performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Content Optimisation: Experience in working with content teams to optimize web content for SEO, user experience, and lead generation.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot SEO issues.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple SEO projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with local SEO strategies and optimizing for map listings (Google My Business).
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify) and website management.
  • Understanding of UX/UI and its impact on SEO.
  • Experience in working with eCommerce SEO or SEO in highly competitive industries.
