Roles & Responsibilities:
Conducting analysis of process and boiler water and interpreting the results for plant and boiler operations. Adherence to good laboratory practices, safe handling of chemicals, and maintaining cleanliness. Performing water analysis from the borehole (raw water) to treated water for sugar production and human consumption. Overseeing the production and analysis of demineralized water and reverse osmosis water. Preparation of reagents for analysis. Monitoring the preparation, dosing, and effects of boiler chemicals on boilers. Analyzing boiler water and using the results for necessary correction on the continuous blow down (. Supervising cooling tower personnel and the analysis of cooling water. Coordinating with the shift process (production) superintendent, shift in charges for both boiler and power house, and the maintenance crew on water usage and related matters. Supervising effluent treatment plant personnel, operations, and the water analysis. Preparing daily production reports both on the system and on hardware. Ensuring compliance with OH&SMS, FSMS, EMS, and QMS responsibilities. Requirements
Requirements
Candidates should possess a B-Tech/BE/BSc/HND in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Water Resources, Chemical Engineering, or Science Laboratory Technology. Possession of a professional certificate will be considered an added advantage. Applicants should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a water plant or food industry. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are required. Benefits
