Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the entire process of short video production, including material organization, editing, special effects, color grading, subtitles and audio processing.
- Complete creative editing according to project requirements (commercials, social media, music MVs, documentaries, etc.) to ensure that the content meets the African aesthetics
Requirements:
- Proficient in editing software (Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro) and master at least one special effects tool (After Effects/Motion).
- More than 1 year of experience in short video production, portfolio required (with local project cases in Lagos preferred).
- Proficient in multi-platform video format requirements, familiar with the communication rules of mainstream social media in Nigeria.
- Fluent in English, plus points for basic Hausa/Yoruba (adapting to local content needs),
- Sensitive to African pop culture (Afrobeats, Nollywood movies, etc.), able to integrate local elements with international style.
- Ability to withstand pressure, adapt to irregular overtime (such as festival activities).
- Self-provided basic equipment (offline editing is required in case of power outage).
Bonus points:
- Master basic photography/drone shooting skills
- Familiar with the Lagos Internet celebrity ecosystem and KOL cooperation model
- Experience in cross-border team collaboration
