Job Title: Site Engineer Intern


Job Overview:

The ideal candidate should be student or recent graduate in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field who gains practical, on-the-job experience at a construction site. He or She should be able to assist the site engineers and project managers with various tasks, contributing to the smooth execution of the project.


Job Description

  • Assisting with site surveys and setting out: Using surveying equipment to establish reference points and lines for construction.
  • Inspecting work for quality and compliance: Checking that construction work adheres to plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Monitoring progress and reporting to senior engineers: Tracking construction activities and documenting progress against the project schedule.
  • Managing site documentation: Maintaining records of materials, equipment, and work completed.
  • Assisting with material testing and quality control: Performing tests on construction materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Ensuring site safety: Promoting and enforcing safety protocols to prevent accidents.
  • Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers: Communicating with external parties involved in the project.
  • Using software and technology: Utilizing relevant software like AutoCAD, Revit, or project management tools.
  • Attending site meetings: Participating in meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.

  • Skills and Qualifications Requirement:

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Basic understanding of construction principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations. 
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures (a plus).
