Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Site Supervision: Supervise daily site operations and manage a team of workers to ensure that all tasks are completed to specification, on time, and within budget.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are strictly adhered to. Conduct regular safety briefings, inspections, and audits to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
- Quality Control: Monitor work quality on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards. Report and address any quality concerns or deviations.
- Resource Management: Oversee the effective utilization of materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring that they are in good condition and available for use
- Team Leadership: Motivate, train, and supervise workers, ensuring effective communication and cooperation among team members. Resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise on-site.
- Coordination with Stakeholders: Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to report on progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with the overall project timeline and objectives.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on site activities, including daily reports, productivity levels, and any delays or challenges encountered.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work progress, inspections, safety checks, and personnel attendance.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years in a supervisory or foreman role within the construction, mining, or manufacturing industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade qualifications or relevant certifications (e.g., safety, construction management) are an advantage.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of site safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant safety and industry certifications (e.g., First Aid, Occupational Health and Safety) are highly preferred
