Impala Canada is the owner and operator of the Lac des Iles Mine, located 90 minutes northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario. In operation for 30 years, the LDI Mine is one of only two known pure palladium sources in North America. Palladium contributes to a cleaner global environment, with its leading use in catalytic converters that reduce harmful emissions from gas-powered and hybrid vehicles.
The LDI Mine features a unique, ore body and modern infrastructure, including underground and surface mining and milling operations. The LDI Mine is in Robinson-Superior Treaty territory, and the land on which we operate is the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg and the Me´tis. Job Description:
Safely perform all activities of Site Laundry Services including: collecting, shaking, sorting, weighing, washing, drying, folding, pressing, storing and delivering of coveralls and comforters across various sites on property
Managing inventory of all items including, coveralls, comforters, chemicals, labeling products, etc. by counting, tracking, logging information, and working collaboratively with external and internal sources
Perform preventative daily maintenance on all laundry equipment, including lint filters, screens, checking hoses, heat shields, rubber gaskets or seals
Maintaining a clean and organized facility through daily housekeeping tasks, such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, emptying and changing garbage, and other tasks assigned;14x14 rotation; Crew 1/2 & Crew 3/4
Qualifications:
Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet job requirements
Can operate commercial grade laundry equipment and drive a company vehicle around site
Able to reach, bend, stoop, crouch. Push/pull carts weighing up to 100lbs, as well as lift, move and shake items up to 30lbs frequently throughout shift, and lift, move and raise items up to 50lbs occasionally throughout shift
Verbal and written proficiency of the English language

The position offers a competitive remuneration package consisting of hourly wage: $27.00, health & medical insurance, retirement savings plan and travel allowance. Meals are provided while at the mine site.
