Site Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Checking designs: Ensuring that technical designs and drawings are followed correctly
• Liaising with others: Working with clients, subcontractors, and other professional staff
• Providing technical advice: Solving problems on-site and offering technical advice
• Preparing reports: Creating site reports and other required paperwork
• Ensuring compliance: Making sure that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are followed
• Assisting with estimates: Helping to prepare estimates for construction time frames and material costs
• Quality assurance: Assisting with and ensuring quality assurance on a construction project
• Learning software: Becoming proficient in relevant software
• Completing tasks: Completing tasks assigned by their supervisor
• Attending meetings: Taking minutes at meetings

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in construction safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience in construction supervision or a similar role (1–2 years preferred).
• Hands-on experience with site management, design interpretation, and quality assurance.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical designs, blueprints, and construction drawings.
• Proficiency in construction-related software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and willingness to learn new tools.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sustainability regulations in construction.
• Strong leadership and management skills to supervise site teams effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for addressing on-site challenges promptly.
• Solid organizational skills to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and staff.
• Competence in report writing and maintaining detailed project records.
• High attention to detail to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proactive mindset with a commitment to meeting deadlines and project goals.
• Physically fit and capable of working on construction sites in varying conditions.
• Willingness to travel to different construction sites as needed.
• Strong understanding of construction project timelines and cost estimation.
