Job Summary
The Social Media & Communications Manager will be responsible for managing the Company and Sustainability Foundation’s online presence, developing engaging content,and driving visibility across various digital platforms. This role involves strategic social media management, content creation, corporate communications, newsletter development, and event publicity. The candidate will also play a key role in promoting the Sustainability Table Discourse Series (STS) and other company and foundation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social media strategy, content writing, public relations, and digital marketing, with a passion for sustainability and corporate communications.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of all social media platforms by developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance engagement, expand audience reach, and strengthen brand awareness.
- Create compelling content, visual engaging graphics, and relevant content that aligns with the company and Foundation’s mission and objectives.
- Monitor social media trends, track analytics, and actively engage with followers by responding to comments, and messages, providing reports with insights and recommendations for optimization and discussions to foster a vibrant and interactive online community
- Write and publish weekly LinkedIn articles, develop press releases, blog posts, and media statements for the company on topics related to sustainability, ESG, and other social media the company will be using.
- Craft engaging thought leadership pieces, craft speeches, and presentations, design and manage monthly newsletters using Mailchimp, ensuring engaging storytelling and updates on the company and Foundation for public engagements.
- Develop and implement comprehensive publicity plans for the Sustainability table discourse Series (STS) and other company-hosted events.
- Coordinate pre-event, live-event, and post-event promotions across all media channels to secure media partnerships and press coverage.
- Keep up to date with industry best practices and suggest innovative strategies to enhance communications effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related fields. (preferably currently undergoing NYSC)
- A minimum of 1 year of proven experience in social media management, content creation, and corporate communications.
- Experience in event publicity, live social media coverage, and media relations is a plus.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create engaging and impactful content.
- Proficiency in Mailchimp, Adobe Suite, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Instagram, Analytics or other content scheduling tools
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Passion for sustainability, ESG, and impact-driven initiatives
- Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing trends, and audience engagement strategies. Strong understanding of company values and mission.
