Social Media and Communications Officer

Responsibilities:

• Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and manage engaging content across various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Content Creation: Develop high-quality written, visual, and video content for social media and other communication channels.
• Branding: Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all digital platforms in line with the organization’s goals and values.
• Community Engagement: Monitor and engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and manage online communities.
• Campaign Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute digital campaigns and promotions.
• Analytics and Reporting: Analyze and report on the performance of social media platforms, including growth metrics, engagement, and other KPIs.
• Media Relations: Write press releases, newsletters, and communication materials to share news and updates.

Requirements:

• A fresh graduate with a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
• A current NYSC member or yet to be posted (Pre-N YSC)
• Experience in social media management, content creation, or communications roles.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative with a keen eye for design and detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.) and basic graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe, etc.) is a plus.
