Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install solar panels on rooftops, ground mounts, or other structures.
- Secure panels safely and connect them to the electrical system.
- Inspect installation sites to determine system requirements and feasibility.
- Take measurements and ensure panels are positioned for optimal sunlight exposure.
- Connect PV systems to inverters, batteries, and grid networks.
- Test electrical systems to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
- Perform regular maintenance to ensure system efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair faults in solar panels, inverters, and wiring.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
- Prepare reports on system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE certificate or equivalent.
- Proven experience in solar panel installation is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and solar technology.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel to installation sites as required.
- Certifications in solar installation (preferred but not mandatory).
