Spa Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of spa services, including massages (e.g. Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone), body treatments (e.g. scrubs, wraps, polishes), and other therapies (e.g. facials, reflexology)
• Conduct consultations with clients to understand their specific needs and preference
• Create personalized treatment plans to address clients' specific concerns (e.g. stress, pain, skin issues)
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment room, including preparing and sanitizing equipment and supplies
• Follow proper sanitation and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for clients
• Communicate effectively with clients, including explaining treatments, answering questions, and providing recommendations
• Work collaboratively with other spa staff, including estheticians, nail technicians, and front desk staff
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in spa therapy
• Meet or exceed sales and revenue targets through excellent customer service and treatment recommendations
• Study skincare trends
• Maintain equipment and sample inventory of products
• Protect the workplace culture by recognizing and supporting team goals and building positive relationships with team members
• Design sessions to meet the specific needs of individual client
• Raise awareness as regards the health and wellness benefits of regular massage therapy to clients
• Generate new clientele through the promotion of member/guest referral
• Help with the washing as well as folding of all linens used in the treatment room
• Present a professional, well-groomed appearance

Requirements:

• BSc/HND/OND in any field.
• 1 year of work experience working in a spa as a massage therapist.
• Proficient knowledge of reflexology, Swedish, prenatal, hot stone, trigger point, sports, and deep tissue massage.
• Must be able to write, read, and speak English.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent people skills.
• Well-groomed, professional appearance.
• Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable with performing massages on diverse clients.
