Job Summary
A Production Supervisor, who isresponsible for managing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
You will oversee the production team, manage workflow, ensure safety standards, and work to maintain product quality in line with FMCG industry requirements.
Your experience in manufacturing and familiarity with fast-moving consumer goods will be crucial in driving productivity and ensuring on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage daily production activities, ensuring that targets are met or exceeded.
Oversee a team of production workers, providing guidance, support, and ensuring they follow safety and quality standards.
Ensure production processes align with company goals for efficiency, output, and quality.
Monitor and optimize the use of resources (materials, labor, and equipment) to maximize production efficiency.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure all machinery is in good working condition and address any issues promptly.
Track and report production metrics, including output, downtime, and waste, and suggest improvements to reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing facility.
Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in production processes.
Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure all products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Identify training needs and provide coaching to production staff to improve skill levels and job performance.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing efficiency and reducing production costs.
Maintain effective communication with other departments (e.g., logistics, procurement, quality control) to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
3-5 years of experience as a production supervisor or in a similar role within the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and workflow optimization.
Experience working with fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) products and meeting high-volume production demands.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced production setting.
Proficiency with production management software and familiarity with ERP systems.
Ability to analyze production data and make informed decisions to improve efficiency.
Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 monthly.
