About The Role.

As a Special Projects Manager at Sankore, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and leading high-impact strategic initiatives. Your role will involve seamless execution of key projects, optimizing resources and fostering collaboration across diverse teams. You will be instrumental in strategic planning and aligning initiatives with organizational goals, delivering them with precision and excellence. Your leadership will be essential in advancing our mission and driving continuous improvement across the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, process design,execution and successful delivery of special projects, from conception to completion, including CSR initiatives and other firm-wide strategic projects.
  • Implement agile methodologies or other project management frameworks to drive efficiency and flexibility.
  • Optimize resource allocation and adjust strategies as necessary to meet project demands.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet high-quality and compliance standards (KPIs) and align with organizational goals.
  • Continuously assess project outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance future project execution.

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

  • Serve as a key communication link between the CEO, stakeholders, and project teams, ensuring regular updates and clear reporting.
  • Generate comprehensive status reports, providing insights on project progress, milestones, and potential roadblocks.
  • Manage expectations and maintain alignment between project goals and the priorities of stakeholders at all levels.

Risk & Cost Management

  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to safeguard project success.
  • Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.

Software Management & Data Analysis

  • Oversee the use and management of enterprise software, such as Google Workspace and Zoho One, to improve project efficiency and collaboration.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of technology tools for effective project management and communication.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret project data to inform strategic decision-making and drive optimal project outcomes.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within ongoing and future projects.
  • Present data insights and recommendations to the CEO and leadership to support informed decision-making.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Oversee and guide the Executive Assistants, delegating tasks and managing workloads to align with project objectives.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture that encourages accountability and innovation.
  • Provide mentorship and conduct regular performance reviews, offering constructive feedback and identifying growth opportunities for team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hard science, Law, Business Administration, Computer science, or any related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, preferably in the investment industry or related financial services sector.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role related to project management, HR, technology, innovation with a focus on special or strategic projects.
  • Proficiency in AI tools and software support with a strong understanding of tech processes and best practices.
  • Has a passion for user experience, and project management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Knowledge in driving innovation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
