Job Title: Strategic Partnership Manager
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Reports To: Country Director
Salary: 28M - 35M annual gross
Team Reports:
Working closely with Logistics Officer, Marketing Manager, Finance Team, Technical Manager and officers, and Business Analyst for reporting.
General Overview of Role:
This role is for business development with strategic partners across various business verticals: Solar Home System distributors, FMCG, Banks, MFIs, Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals, NGOs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and onboard new strategic partners
- Manage and develop existing partner accounts
- Establish partnerships with financial channels (Banks, MFIs, etc.)
- Develop strategy across key verticals: B2B, Agriculture, Medical, FMCG
- Support financial channels and build an online channel
- Coordinate operational sales activities with partners
- Achieve growth and satisfaction among business partners
Responsibilities Breakdown:
Partnership Development, Commercial Management:
- Monitor partners closely to ensure targets are met
- Develop new partnership and distribution channels
- Grow existing partnerships and prospect for new strategic opportunities
- Create and implement strategies to increase sales opportunities, especially in weak-grid and off-grid segments
Operational Management:
- Oversee partner orders and manage key accounts
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure proper tracking and timely delivery
- Work with technical support to ensure effective after-sales service
- Track and report sales leads and business prospects
Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Document learnings and support reporting and dashboard creation
- Facilitate cross-department collaboration and communicate project status
Skills, Competencies, and Experience
Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial role
- Minimum 10 years in business development and partnership management
- Experience in the energy access sector is essential
- Financial institution partnership experience
- B2B and corporate experience
- Budget management experience
- Background in business development with external stakeholders
- NGO channel experience is an advantage
Educational and Professional Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business preferred
- Project management experience
Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for reporting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
Other:
