Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or structural issues as they arise.
- Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, lighting, and other utilities.
- Assist in installing and upgrading equipment when required.
- Keep maintenance records and prepare detailed reports on repairs and replacements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance calls and emergencies.
- Collaborate with other departments, contractors, or vendors for specialized repair tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and functional workspace.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of maintenance equipment, tools, and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift or handle equipment.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent (vocational or technical training is a plus).
- Certification in a specific trade (e.g., electrical, plumbing) may be required.
- Must reside close to Akowonjo or Egbeda and must not stay less than 1 bus away from the place of work.
