System Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Set up accounts, workstations and manage user accounts
• Ensure security efficiency of IT infrastructure through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Install and configure software, hardware and networks; manage network servers and technology tools
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements; troubleshoot issues and outages
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models; discuss IT changes and enhancements
• Monitor, advise and fix the entire health of all systems (both software and hardware); Oversee testing to find problems within the system and resolve them
• Create metrics to measure the effectiveness of the system
• Develop methods and tools to test and implement new LAN/WAN equipment
• Help employees with day-to-day use of the system; solicit and analyse feedback from users
• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies/updated systems
• Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
• Work with software developers to deploy software applications on client’s sites

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with a minimum of a second-class upper division
• Not more than 2 years of systems administration experiences
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud either AWS, GCP, AZURE or Digital Ocean
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
