Responsibilities:

• Assist in policy advocacy related to the agriculture sector.
• Conduct research and analysis on key issues affecting agriculture in Nigeria or West Africa.
• Support in organizing events, seminars, or workshops for stakeholders in the agriculture industry.
• Help in the preparation of reports, policy documents, and other written content.
• Assist in managing agricultural development projects and partnerships.
• Provide technical guidance on agricultural innovations, sustainable practices, and business opportunities in the sector.

Requirements:

• A Master’s degree or professional certifications in fields such as Sustainable Agriculture, Agricultural Policy, Rural Development,
• Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Environmental Science, or related fields.
• Experience in agriculture and business-related fields 5+ years including experience with agricultural organizations, chambers of commerce, or government agencies.
• Proficiency in data analysis, using tools like Excel, SPSS, or other statistical software.
• Project management skills to assist in organizing initiatives, events, and programs.
• Knowledge of agricultural technologies, sustainable farming practices, or climate-smart agriculture.
• Familiarity with agricultural policies and regulations, particularly in Nigeria or the West African context.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to draft reports, presentations, and policy briefs.
• Public speaking and advocacy skills to engage stakeholders and represent the chamber in various forums.
• Ability to prepare proposals, research papers, and newsletters.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex agricultural data and trends.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team, including government agencies, stakeholders, and business leaders.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous learning.
