Job Summary

Arc-Lights Foundation is a dynamic and innovative NGO dedicated to education reform whose work spans several key major Education initiatives, including the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), AbiaFIRST, Littlehouse, IHS School On Wheels, OANDO School transformation, Grant Management, and collaborations with state governments under the PPA framework. We are committed to transforming education systems, improving learning outcomes, and empowering communities through sustainable and scalable educational models. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Assistant to support our hands-on and visionary CEO. The ideal candidate must be a tech-savvy problem solver with a strong background in project management, data analysis, and operational efficiency. This role is critical in ensuring the CEO’s initiatives and strategies are executed effectively across multiple programs and partnerships.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing key projects under the CEO’s supervision, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance in data collection, analysis, and presentation. Use tools such as Canva, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software to create reports, presentations, and dashboards for monitoring project progress.
  • Grant Management: Oversee the entire grant lifecycle, from pre-award to post-award, including tracking grant deadlines, compliance requirements, and reporting obligations.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify areas for operational improvement and work closely with the CEO to implement strategies that enhance productivity and effectiveness across all programs.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on education policies, emerging trends, and best practices in education reform. Synthesise information to provide actionable insights to the CEO.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with key stakeholders, including state governments, educational institutions, and partner organizations, to facilitate communication and ensure successful collaboration.
  • Administrative Support: Manage the CEO’s schedule, coordinate meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Support the CEO in developing and implementing strategic initiatives, including drafting proposals, reviewing contracts, and preparing reports for donors and partners.
  • Communication: Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations on behalf of the CEO. Maintain clear and consistent communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.



Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree is a plus.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the education sector or NGO environment.
  • Experience working with senior leadership is highly desirable.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello), and data analysis software.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.


Skillset:

  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. PMP certification is an advantage.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to draft professional documents and present information clearly and concisely.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a strong ability to anticipate challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government officials, educators, and community leaders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
