Who We Are

PSI is a network of locally rooted, globally connected organizations working to achieve consumer-powered healthcare — people-centered health systems that ensure quality, affordable care wherever and whenever it is needed. Our origins in sexual and reproductive health have grown into a broader mission. Today, we work with the public and private sectors as well as local communities, prioritizing people’s voice and choice and developing solutions to meet their essential health needs. Over the past five decades, we have helped push boundaries, break taboos, set trends, and develop innovative solutions to complex global health challenges.

Join us!

This position will focus on driving momentum within Nigeria for two global projects led by PSI: DISC and NEXUS.

Funded by the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, the Delivering Innovation in Self-Care project (DISC), supports PSI’s vision to reimagine healthcare by increasing awareness, availability, and access to contraceptive self-care methods like self-injection that give women greater power and control over their sexual and reproductive health. In partnership with Ministries of Health, healthcare provider networks, and other key stakeholders, DISC is integrating self-care methods into health systems, bringing care closer to consumers, and amplifying their voice, choice, and agency. The DISC project is about to enter an exciting new phase which will involve scaling the DISC high impact practices through partnerships in existing countries as well as expanding into new countries.

To support this scale up, PSI’s Global DISC Program Management Team seeks a Technical Project Advisor I to coordinate the technical design and implementation of the DISC project scale-up across the multiple partnerships in Nigeria to ensure project deliverables are achieved. Partnerships in Nigeria include PSI funded partners as well as other partners working in DMPA-SC funded by CIFF or other donors directly. The Technical Project Advisor will also participate in MOH meetings representing the DISC project in its entirety and contribute to internal and external capacity building efforts of partners.

The Network for Expanded User-initiated Solutions (NEXUS) is a new project, also funded by CIFF. This is a global market management platform focused on supporting product design & launch for early-stage innovation, stakeholder coordination and facilitating data for decision-making. Nigeria is a key focus for this project which in the initial phase will focus on: market interventions to improve the market share of quality misoprostol through enhancing local manufacturing; developing comprehensive Reproductive health dashboards to guide decision-making on a range of contraceptive, post-partum hemorrhage, and medical abortion pharmaceutical products by key global and local stakeholders; scoping the future launch of an on-demand contraceptive pill.

This Technical Advisor will conduct similar coordination activities across multiple partners and feed into local market and user insights into scoping activities. The Technical Advisor will also be responsible for convening and engaging local stakeholders across MoH, PVAC, Emzor, partner organizations and NAFDAC.

Salary

Please note that those hired outside of the US will be employed through the local PSI office. Pay and benefits will be commensurate with the role and practices of the local office, including payment in local currency.
