Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify, develop, and execute sales opportunities for manufacturers that we have strategic partnerships with in Nigeria.
- Generate leads, engage prospective clients, and drive sales conversions.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
- Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to customers to showcase product capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to close deals.
Key Account Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for existing customers and assigned accounts.
- Provide tailored solutions based on customer needs and technical specifications.
- Ensure consistent follow-ups and after-sales support to strengthen long-term relationships.
- Develop account plans and strategies to increase sales within each assigned account.
Technical Expertise & Support:
- Understand and communicate the technical specifications, applications, and benefits of products from the OEMs that we have strategic partnerships with.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting and training.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver customized solutions.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and technological advancements.
- Gather market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and potential threats.
- Recommend product improvements and innovations based on customer feedback and industry trends.
Reporting & Strategy Execution:
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and activity reports.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, pipeline development, and key client engagements.
- Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and promotional strategies.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and performance KPIs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Industrial), Business, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of technical sales experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience managing key accounts and building long-term client relationships.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Experience working with OEMs, distributors, and direct customers in the industrial sector.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.
Soft Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Willingness to travel to client sites, attend industry events, and conduct site visits.
- Self-motivated with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in sales, business development, or key account management.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and local market dynamics.
- Existing relationships with customers in the oil & gas, manufacturing, telecom, or power sectors.
Remuneration: NGN 500,000
