Job Summary
We are seeking to hire an experienced Technician with a minimum of 5 years of expertise in repairing and maintaining lathe machines and other mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing malfunctions, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring the efficient operation of industrial machinery. With a solid understanding of mechanical systems and technical manuals, the Technician will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime and ensuring machine reliability in the production process. The candidate must hold a minimum of an OND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and possess strong problem-solving skills to handle repairs efficiently.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair lathe machines and other mechanical equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on lathe machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Inspect machines to detect malfunctions, and provide timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment to repair or replace parts, ensuring all components function properly.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings to understand equipment configurations and repair procedures.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and operational protocols.
- Maintain records of repairs, maintenance, and machine performance for future reference and audits.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate repair schedules and minimize disruptions to production.
- Test repaired machines to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine repair, with specific expertise in lathe machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Minimum of an OND in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair lathe machines and other industrial equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment used in lathe machine operations and maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints for equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to efficiently identify issues and implement solutions.
- Ability to work independently and manage repair tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure machines are repaired and maintained to the highest standard.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures when working with heavy machinery and tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management regarding repair schedules and machine performance.
