Job Description (Summary)
As a Telesales Executive, you will be responsible for contacting potential and existing customers to introduce products or services, answer inquiries, process orders, and handle any complaints. Your primary objective will be to increase customer satisfaction while achieving set sales targets through proactive outreach and excellent service.
Customer Engagement
- Reach out to potential or existing customers using prepared scripts to provide information about products and services.
- Communicate with customers clearly and persuasively to increase interest and engagement.
- Respond to inquiries about products and company offerings, delivering detailed and accurate information.
- Present features and benefits of products to help customers make well-informed decisions.
- Identify customer requirements and preferences to tailor solutions effectively.
- Manage objections and close sales efficiently to meet individual and team targets.
- Direct qualified leads to the field sales team when further follow-up is necessary.
- Coordinate with sales representatives to ensure seamless handover of qualified leads.
- Update and maintain accurate customer information within the CRM system.
- Ensure order details are processed correctly for customer satisfaction and data integrity.
- Handle grievances professionally to uphold and protect the company’s reputation.
- Provide solutions to customer concerns, aiming to resolve issues on the first call.
- Strive to meet or exceed assigned sales quotas by maximizing each customer interaction.
- Adopt a proactive approach to identify additional sales opportunities and facilitate repeat business.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, calls, and sales activities.
- Note and organize relevant information to support future engagement and strategy.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in telesales or a similar sales or customer service role.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting sales targets, ideally over the phone.
- Strong understanding of relevant computer programs, including CRM software and telephone systems.
- Ability to learn and clearly explain product/service details to prospective clients.
- Fluent in English, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Cool-tempered with the ability to handle rejection professionally.
- Outstanding negotiation skills to resolve issues and address customer concerns effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field.
