Job Summary

The Ticketing and Reservation Officer handles flight, hotel, and travel bookings using systems like Amadeus and Sabre. Responsibilities include providing travel options, managing changes and cancellations, resolving customer inquiries, processing e-tickets, maintaining booking records, and coordinating with airlines and partners to secure the best tickets

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Handling ticket bookings for flights.
  • Reserving hotels and other travel-related services.
  • Managing bookings through online systems (GDS like Amadeus, Sabre, etc.) and directly with airlines or service providers.
  • Providing travel options, advice, and itineraries based on clients’ needs.
  • Offering support for changes in reservations, cancellations, or re-bookings.
  • Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensuring all travel documents like e-tickets, boarding passes are correctly processed and provided to customers.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all bookings and transactions.
  • Staying updated on travel regulations, restrictions, and visa requirements.
  • Ensuring customers comply with necessary documentation for travel, especially for international trips.
  • Coordinating with airlines, hotels, and other partners to secure best rates and arrangements for clients.
  • Liaising with other departments (if applicable) for special travel packages or promotions.

Requirements:
  • BSc. or HND in a related field
  • Proficiency/Certificate in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo is an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in travel booking or reservations (at least 2-4 years) is ideal, especially in using GDS software.
  • Experience in customer service or a related field is also valuable.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Age: 23-31 years
  • Must live in Ikeja or nearby areas
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle travel-related emergencies.
  • Familiarity with current travel trends, restrictions, and legal requirements (like visa and COVID-19 protocols).
