Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks for local and long-distance transport.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Adhere to traffic laws and transport regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and trip records.
- Report vehicle defects or issues to the Workshop Manager.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or spillage.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments when required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors.
- Stay updated on road and weather conditions to plan routes.
- Comply with safety protocols to minimize risks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck cab and trailer.
- Attend regular safety and operational training sessions.
- Monitor fuel consumption and optimize routes for efficiency.
- Coordinate with the workshop team for routine maintenance.
Requirements:
- Valid heavy-duty truck driver’s license.
- 10+ years of experience in truck driving.
- Certification in defensive driving is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of truck operations and road safety.
