Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
User Research and Analysis:
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs and behaviors.
- Analyze user data and feedback to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
- Create user personas, user journeys, and information architecture diagrams.
Interaction Design (UX):
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to define the user experience.
- Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on feedback.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with business goals.
Visual Design (UI):
- Create visually appealing and consistent user interfaces that adhere to brand guidelines.
- Develop style guides, design systems, and component libraries.
- Design high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
- Ensure designs are responsive and accessible across different devices and platforms.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
- Provide clear and concise design documentation.
- Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback.
Staying Up to Date:
- Stay up to date with the latest UI/UX trends and technologies.
- Continuously improve design skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience (e.g., 2+ years) in UI/UX design.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Experience with user research and usability testing.
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Strong understanding of visual design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of UI/UX design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
- Experience with motion design or animation.
- Experience with design systems and component libraries.
