Background Verification Officer

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough background checks on prospective employees, including employment history, criminal records, education verification, and reference checks.
• Verify documents and assess candidates’ qualifications for various security roles.
• Prepare detailed reports based on findings and present them to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure all procedures adhere to legal and company standards.
• Collaborate with the HR and recruitment teams to ensure seamless candidate screening processes.
• Stay updated on the latest best practices in background verification.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Proven experience in background verification or vetting, preferably within the security industry.
• Strong research, investigative, and reporting skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.

Location: Gbagada, Lagos

Remuneration: NGN 200,000 -300,000 monthly
