Company Description

Echoes Foundation has been serving communities in Nigeria for over 4 years by offering free therapy sessions to individuals who have experienced traumatic events. They have worked with over 80 individuals, including children, to help them navigate through life and recover from brokenness. The foundation has established 3 community learning centers with skill programs benefitting over 100 individuals across communities.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote Volunteer role at Echoes Foundation. Volunteers will be involved in providing support during therapy sessions, assisting in community learning programs, organizing outreach activities, and helping individuals recover from traumatic experiences. The role also includes collaborating with the team to align outreach programs with the foundation's mission.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing emotional support and empathy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Passion for community service and mental health advocacy
• Experience in organizing and coordinating outreach programs
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
• Understanding of confidentiality and ethical practices in therapy sessions
• Background in psychology, social work, counseling, or related fields is a plus
