We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Yoruba Teacher to join our educational team. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Teach Yoruba language classes, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and conversational skills.
- Prepare and deliver well-structured lesson plans tailored to different levels of student proficiency.
- Design and evaluate assessments, assignments, and exams to monitor student progress.
- Foster a dynamic and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Incorporate multimedia tools, cultural materials, and interactive teaching techniques to enhance the learning experience.
- Provide individualized support and feedback to help students improve their language skills.
- Introduce students to Yoruba culture, customs, and traditions through creative activities and discussions.
- Stay updated on best practices in language education and adapt lessons accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a BSc. degree in Yoruba, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience teaching Yoruba language at primary, secondary, or tertiary levels.
- Proficiency in the Yoruba language, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and implement effective lesson plans that cater to various learning needs.
- Experience with modern teaching methodologies and educational technology.
- Passionate about Yoruba language and culture, with the ability to integrate cultural elements into lessons.
- Teaching certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Flexibility to work part-time, with a variable schedule.
Remuneration: NGN 60,000- NGN 70,000
