Yoruba Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Teach Yoruba language classes, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and conversational skills.
  
• Prepare and deliver well-structured lesson plans tailored to different levels of student proficiency.
• Design and evaluate assessments, assignments, and exams to monitor student progress.
• Foster a dynamic and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
• Incorporate multimedia tools, cultural materials, and interactive teaching techniques to enhance the learning experience.
• Provide individualized support and feedback to help students improve their language skills.
• Introduce students to Yoruba culture, customs, and traditions through creative activities and discussions.
• Stay updated on best practices in language education and adapt lessons accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a BSc. degree in Yoruba, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience teaching Yoruba language at primary, secondary, or tertiary levels.
• Proficiency in the Yoruba language, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create and implement effective lesson plans that cater to various learning needs.
• Experience with modern teaching methodologies and educational technology.
• Passionate about Yoruba language and culture, with the ability to integrate cultural elements into lessons.
• Teaching certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Flexibility to work part-time, with a variable schedule.

Remuneration: NGN 60,000- NGN 70,000
