Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals.
- Record and reconcile financial transactions to ensure accuracy in the company's financial documentation.
- Process and track invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors and accurate recording of expenses.
- Assist in monitoring accounts receivable, following up on customer payments, and resolving discrepancies.
- Support the preparation and processing of employee expense reports.
- Verify receipts and ensure compliance with company policies before reimbursement.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of bank transactions and balances.
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting team.
- Organize and maintain financial documents, ensuring proper filing and documentation.
- Assist in budget preparation by gathering and organizing relevant financial information.
- Contribute to the monitoring of budgetary performance against actual expenditures.
- Generate basic financial reports, such as trial balances and basic financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve inquiries.
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Assist in the documentation and preparation of financial information for audits.
- Utilize accounting software and financial systems to input and retrieve financial data.
- Assist in maintaining and updating accounting databases.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role or internship is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
