Job Summary

As an Account officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the organization. Working closely with the accounting team, your responsibilities will include various tasks related to financial record-keeping, transaction processing, and administrative support.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals.
  • Record and reconcile financial transactions to ensure accuracy in the company's financial documentation.
  • Process and track invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors and accurate recording of expenses.
  • Assist in monitoring accounts receivable, following up on customer payments, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Support the preparation and processing of employee expense reports.
  • Verify receipts and ensure compliance with company policies before reimbursement.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of bank transactions and balances.
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting team.
  • Organize and maintain financial documents, ensuring proper filing and documentation.
  • Assist in budget preparation by gathering and organizing relevant financial information.
  • Contribute to the monitoring of budgetary performance against actual expenditures.
  • Generate basic financial reports, such as trial balances and basic financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve inquiries.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the documentation and preparation of financial information for audits.
  • Utilize accounting software and financial systems to input and retrieve financial data.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating accounting databases.



Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or internship is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
